Taylorsville Senior Center events

Lunch is served Monday through Friday at noon. Cost for patrons over 60 is $2.50. Cost for patrons under 60 is $5.25. Sign up 24 hours in advance. Transportation is available for those who need it. Sign up by calling the center.

Feb. 2, 10 a.m. – Morning at the Movies: Groundhog Day Celebration. Come watch “Groundhog Day.” Light refreshments will be served.

Feb. 6 – Birthday Monday. If your birthday is in February, come and join a birthday lunch celebration. Special musical guests The New Fiddlers at 11:30 a.m.

Feb. 8, 12:30 p.m. – Ice Cream Social.

Feb. 9, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Free Tax Assistance with AARP. Call the center to make an appointment and for more details.

Feb. 10, 10 a.m. – Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Level Testing. By Prestige Home Health.

Feb. 13, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Sweetheart Dance. Come and enjoy wonderful food (pork roast, salad and scalloped potatoes), live entertainment, dancing and much more. Price is $7 per person.

Feb. 16, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Free Tax Assistance with AARP. Call the center to make an appointment and for more details.

12 p.m. – Musical Guest: Pianist/Singer Kara Lyn Roundy.

Feb. 20 – Holiday. The center will be closed.
