Danny Trejo to appear at 'Castle of Chaos'
The Castle of Chaos, a haunted house establishment celebrating 10 years of scaring Salt Lakers during Halloween, will mark its "10 Years 10 Fears" anniversary with an appearance by cult movie actor Danny Trejo.
Trejo, a former convict turned successful actor known for his tattooed body and aptitude at playing violent villains and assassins, will participate in a haunt experience deep within the depths of the Castle of Chaos from Oct. 28-31.
He was the title character in the recently-released film Machete, directed by Robert Rodriguez, and has appeared in several other Rodriguez films, including Grindhouse, Desperado, Predators, From Dusk to Dawn and Spy Kids. He has also appeared in Rob Zombie's Halloween and Devil's Rejects. Trejo also stars in Danny Trejo's Vengeance, filmed in Salt Lake City, as well as appearing in various TV series, including Breaking Bad, the Young and the Restless, Desperate Housewives, King of the Hill, and in an upcoming appearance on Modern Family.
"Danny Trejo may not be a household name, but once you see his image, believe me - you know this guy," Castle of Chaos owner James Bernard said. "Danny is a horror film favorite, a cult classic, and a truly unforgettable figure. Danny's appearance is the perfect way to top off our 10 Years 10 Fears celebration. We have spent the past 10 years providing over the top thrills and terror to our visitors; and Danny Trejo will bring a new level of horrific excitement and entertainment to the Castle of Chaos."
Trejo is also scheduled for an interview on "Entertainment Journal on the Air," on Oct. 28 at 3:30 p.m. on K-Talk radio, 630 AM.
Castle of Chaos is located at 3300 South West Temple, and the Nightmare Mansion, 5576 South Redwood Road in Taylorsville. Visit www.castleofchaos.com for schedules, tickets and more information.
